Where are you?

We are in debt, to the internet,
Which has opened horizons worldwide
But those less wise, themselves compromise
By choosing this tiger to ride.

Little is found, without the surround
Of advertising, (whom do they seek?)
And such is the litter of uncalled for Twitter,
The system’s beginning to creak.

I am, to be sure, a hack and no more,
With a bent for creating a rhyme,
But the poets I read, do not have the need,
To explain the news of our time.

I just want share, make some more aware
Of the ideals we could try to explore
And with my word play, do that in a way,
To encourage, amuse, and no more.

But to share a few rhymes, in these internet times,
Is a marathon, no gentle jog,
But all should be free, no adverts from me,
Just google potterings.blog!

  1. Aww George, you’re such an inspiration. I’ve started a verse but places it aside for lack of something inspiring .. You’ve done that for me; therefore, I must get cracking.
